Who does the licensed work?
This is a great question and completely up to you!
I have friends who are plumbers and electricians but they will not be subcontracted through me. I can connect the two of you as needed or you can find your own companies.
What will my remodel cost?
Pricing in remodel varies greatly depending on the project.
My goal is to be as up front and honest as possible while working in your home and my estimates reflect that.
How long does a normal project take?
As above, each remodel is different, however depending on your ambition it could take anywhere from weeks to months.
What kind of insurance do you carry?
There is $1 million in coverage for North End Remodel if something goes terribly wrong on site. Any minor problems that arise will be fixed to your satisfaction by the end of contract.
Will I need to evacuate my house while you work?
Most of my projects are done one room or floor at a time. Site prep and cleanliness is of utmost importance so each space will be cordoned off if convenient. There should be no need to leave your living space.
What is a contingency fund?
A contingency fund is only used on larger projects, jobs that have multiple trades, days, or weeks in them. It's a percentage of the job cost (usually around 10%) set aside to help your work go smoothly. If I need to run and grab nails, an extra stick of trim, or an extra gallon of paint the contingency allows me to continue work without needing to bother you. What isn't used will be returned at the end of job.
