Around November 2025 I started working on a Condo along University Ave, Minneapolis.
This project was one of the first large scale jobs I was able to tackle, and I have been both proud and humbled many times over the course of my time on site.
Upon arriving to the jobsite, the entire condo was in disarray. Water damage from the Unit above had seeped through the ceiling and damaged all the flooring, walls, swollen cabinetry and molded many of the appliances. A cursory demo crew had gone through and removed most of the damaged areas but there were several places that needed to be taken care of.
After some clean up and prep work, the recon was ready to start. Beginning with leveling the bathroom floors and spraying the metal door jambs, it was nice to start with a completely fresh workspace. Moving from doors to cabinets to flooring to paint wasn't getting anywhere so I created a game plan of priorities and ordering of operations.
Top down as I was taught. Paint the walls, Cabinetry, Backsplash, Flooring then Trim. The details come after that for touch ups, transitions and appliances.
Playing around with colors for the cabinets and walls took a while longer than expected. So did the flooring. And countertops. And Backsplash.
This project came with many ideas, triumphs and lessons for the next.
The condo is finished, and as the job wrapped up I started looking forward to the next project.
