Subcontracting for a restoration company based in Anoka, I was able to work with a new style of carpentry; Tongue in Groove wall paneling. This pine board gives a great, cabin-y feel to the large property, making the space seem like a relaxing getaway just a few miles from town.
Here is another house that got damaged by a broken pipe and needed to be restored to its original glory. With the demo crew finishing the last of removal, I was charged with hanging doors, insulating next to the sliding back door and repaneling the walls with Tongue in Groove.
With insulation inspection passing day 1 and the door hung plumb I was off to the races with paneling.
T&G is a fairly simple medium to work with, the biggest concern is matching each doorway and corner with the previous panel for a smooth, continuous look.
Finishing with the 1x2 roughcut trim I asked the HomeOwner if I could put a routed edge on the boards for a cleaner look and she happily accepted. Less than 2 weeks later this entire basement had walls again!
